There is no rivalry more bitter than that between Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader, the Emperor´s most terrifying agent and apprentice. Their duels have decided the course of history. Bitter enemies, each knows all of the other´s strengths and weaknesses. Darth Vader was once Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan´s hotheaded Padawan who was prophesied to bring balance to the Force. His hideous disfigurements were the direct result of a duel between the two that culminated in Anakin suffering horrific injuries on the banks of a Mustafar lava flow. Vader´s hatred of Obi-Wan is only exceeded by the grief and remorse the Jedi feels over the loss of his friend. Determined to make amends for his own mistakes, Obi-Wan has accepted that his friend Anakin is truly dead, seeing Darth Vader as both Anakin´s assassin and the executioner of many other promising young Jedi.
