MSC TPU Road Presta 60 mm inner tube

In the inner tubes a revolution has appeared by the hand of the thermoplastic polyethene (TPU), a synthetic material that allows to manufacture cameras with a great tightness of the air, a very small weight and an incredibly compact volume compared to the traditional inner tubes of butyl. All these properties facilitate a better rolling resistance of the tires very similar to the one we notice when we roll with tubeless. Its elasticity also provides greater resistance to punctures, although its repair requires specific patches. Although the price of TPU cameras is greater than the conventional latex or butyl, the great advantages they provide at the resistance level when rolling and lightness more compensate for spending, also considering the largest duration for TPU cameras. Finally, it is worth highlighting the small space they occupy when they are folded, which makes them a perfect option to carry along our repair kit on the route, including that mounts tubeless.
